Bathgate went into the second league game of the season against Edinburgh Caledonian looking to build on their hard fought victory the previous week. Edinburgh started the game the brighter putting the pressure on the Bathgate defence but there final ball wasn’t there. Bathgate were pressed in deep but looked dangerous on the counter and it’s was a counter attack that won us a corner. From a good ball in the ball was spilt by the keeper which Mark McKenna put in with a scissor kick from the ground after falling over in attempts to win the first ball. The game stayed in a similar manner with Edinburgh putting the pressure and Bathgate going on the counter. Bathgate scored the second from another corner with a great ball in then scored with a bullet header from Ross steel. Two great corners from Andrew Wood getting two assists and putting training into practice in a game. Bathgate began to come into the game and had a couple of chances to go three ahead. Edinburgh didn’t have many clear cut chances but possibly should have pulled it back after their striker broke the offside trap to go one on one but Markus made a great save. Edinburgh had a lot of corners but Bathgate managed to clear their lines.
